Common Al-in-Cu wires are the dual-metal
wires composed by aluminum wires and outer copper layer, which
the DC resistivities on 20¡æ both ¡Ü0.02743¦¸mm2/m. Their nominal
densities are 3.32g/mm3 and 3.63g/mm3, is the first choice
for inner conductor of coaxial cables and the electrical equipment.
Can process the cables with the same process as native copper
wire.
Al-in-Cu wire notation method:
Executing standard:
Electrical Field Standard of PRC SJ/T112233-2000 <Al-in-Cu
Wire> and ASTM B566-93(2002) standard: divided into 2 kinds
according to dynamic property: Soft ( A) and Hard (H); divided
into 2 kinds according to copper layer volume : 10% and 15%.
Al-in-Cu wire advantages:
The Al-in-Cu wire produces according to the advanced cladding
and welding technology, the copper layer takes above 99.97%
pure copper, dense and good in conductivity; the copper layer
and the aluminum wire achieve the metallurgy combination,
the copper layer is arranged alone the cycle and longitudinal
evenly, good concentricity. All technical data reach the ASTM
B566-93 standard.
Under the condition of same weight and diameter, the Al-in-Cu
wire length : pure copper length: 2.6:1,which reduce the production
costs of the cables a lot, 1 ton Al-in-Cu wires equal to 2.6tons
copper wires, so that reduce the raw material costs a lot.
Compared to pure copper wire, the Al-in-Cu wires are useless
for the thieves as it is almost impossible to separate the
Copper layer and the Aluminum core.
The Al-in-Cu wires are more plastic than pure copper wire,
and doesn¡¯t produce the insulated oxide like aluminum, which
is easier for treatment, and better conductivity.
The Al-in-Cu wire is very light, easy for transportation,
installation and construction, which can reduce the labor
costs.
